H'mm. I've just received a request to go and teach someone maths. An adult.
That will mean coming up with a syllabus for them to follow, and a lot of patience. However, I have confidence that I can help out there.

Tau
Recently, proponents of the proposed fundamental mathematical constant τ, aka 2π, celebrated τ Day on June 28. I wondered if you might be interested in what τ looks like to about 180 decimal places.

The Tau Manifesto
A short while ago a mathematician, Bob Palais, posted an article on his blog called Pi Is Wrong!
More recently, a new item appeared online, launching The Tau Manifesto on what they call Tau Day.
Michael Hartl's Tau Day article expands upon the original "Pi Is Wrong!" article, and proposes a new mathematical term and constant, Tau (the Greek letter τ) which equals 2π.
These people make a lot of sense. Read and enjoy the articles. I think they may well open your eyes.
