2013 04 08 - Now Thatcher's Dead:A Poem

2013 04 08 - Now Thatcher's Dead

We who remain will remember you.
Remember that pointless sacrifice;
The communities that paid the price
To a woman whose heart was cold as ice.

Remember your struggles, so far below.
Remember that news, which came as a blast
When your fate was sealed; when that die was cast.
Now she's gone to a different below, at last.

Remember your lives, and your livelihoods.
Coal, steel and people went hand in glove.
We all came together, when push came to shove.
Now it's you we'll remember, with tears and love.
