Post 500: Welcome To My Empire

All weekend long, I have been trying to think of something suitable to put in this, my 500th post for To Scape The Serpent's Tongue. And you know, the only thing I can think of is to show you the blogs of my little empire.

Here, to begin with, is The Plainclothes Clown - the first dedicated blog I ever ran. Still active, but showing its age.

I also run a Dreamwidth blog, in case you're interested, though I update that even less frequently than The Plainclothes Clown above.

In addition to this blog, of course I run four other blogs here on this site, and yet another four on tumblr. Here they are; just click on the pics.

So far, then, that is my empire as of five hundred posts to this blog. These are all the blogs I'm going to have, unless I decide to cancel a blog or two in the distant future.

Foretastes Of Forthcoming Posts

I've discovered the delights of scheduling.

I can schedule posts that I write, not to publish them immediately but to release them at a specific time. In the case of my Klingon briefings, that would be 21:00 British Summer Time. It's the same deal on tumblr, where The Daily Klingon will now be posting repeats of my blog posts once daily, at the exact same time.

For my blogs, 21:00 every night is the Klingon hour.

I'm now going to schedule releasing blog posts on the hour, even if I want to publish them immediately; if I'm writing a blog at 09:32 for immediate release, I'll schedule it for publication at 10:00. This gives me extra time to edit, or to change my mind, before it goes up.

The first of these posts, next to this one, is a lunchtime dream post from Perchance To Dream, scheduled for 12:00 this afternoon. There will be others, including - of course - posts from this blog.

I have plenty of things to talk about - notes on my stories; a forthcoming excerpt from my first Paleborn story, "Inheritance," to whet the appetite and to set up the second, "Island of Stars" and my novels, and my hopes for them.

So keep your eyes peeled for my continued posts, especially on the hour. That's when everything happens with my blogs from now on.

Playing Catchup

I still write my blogs - here, The Plainclothes Clown, Dreams Of The Plainclothes Clown (on Dreamwidth, mostly posts that end up getting bounced up to Livejournal, but handy when LJ goes down for any reason) and of course Hypnotic Erotic.

I have two sites on the Cheezburger site:- Laughter of The Plainclothes Clown (makes me laugh), and Legends of The Plainclothes Clown (awesomeness).

You'll find my life to contain excitement, strangeness and some occasional highlights of awesomeness.

FInally, my main blogs have had complete style updates. The oldest blog has had its first style update since I opened it back in 2004.
